Liudmila Shikhova Liudmila Shikhova - lyric coloratura soprano.

Liudmila is the winner of the International Vocal Competition in Orvieto (Italy) - First Prize (2012),
Chamber Music Competition in Mosca (Russia) - Second Prize (2011)

Born in Poland. Studied in Russia. Took advanced training courses in Italy (Academy Santa-Cecilia), and the USA. Studied interpretation of Italian music with Renata Scotto.

Her repertoire includes about 20 roles for lyric coloratura: Gilda (G. Verdi's Rigoletto), Olympia (J. Offenbach's Les contes d'Hoffmann), the Queen of the Night (W. A. Mozart's Die Zauberflote), Madame Herz (W. A. Mozart's Der Schauspieldirektor), the Queen of Shemakha (N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov's The Golden Cockerel) etc.

Liudmila Shikhova regularly appears in concerts and recitals and has taken part in many international musical projects and festivals. She had given recitals in Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Holland, Spain, USA.

Her concert repertoire includes arias and duets from L. Delibes's Lakme, G. Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia and Il viaggio a Reims, A. Thomas's Hamlet, Mozart's concert arias, J. Strauss's waltzes etc.

Ms. Shikhova also likes performing contemporary music and collaborates with many composers. She recorded several disks.
Currently she is in the preparation of roles are Konstanza (Mozart's Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail) and Zerbinette (R. Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos).
